My telegram of

German Consul on May 9th

handed to Colonial Secretary following translation of communication issued by German Legation at Peking on

April 8th begins. Association of German Ship Owners and German East Asiatic Society at Hamburg have

decided not to undertake or execute any shipment of

arms and ammunition of war which are destined to be

used in China from German ports or on German ships.
